January 2020
Highlight of November/December was the return/visit of family members from overseas. As I mentioned in the November update, Pelton made has annual visit from the middle of that month up to early December. In addition to commemorating the 25th anniversary of Lynda’s passing, we also went swimming in the sea off Hung Shing Ye beach on Lamma Island (something of an annual pilgrimage for us now) followed by the usual excellent seafood lunch in Sok Kwu Wan.
Even more exciting (sorry Rob) was the return to Hong Kong of Tiffany and Alex from their overseas studies just in time to celebrate my birthday on 21 December. Of course we did this at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, as befits someone known throughout his life by the nickname Mickey Mouse.
The Year of the Mouse in the lunar calendar begins in a few days, during which I (born in Mouse Year 1948) will reach the ripe old age of 72. Where do the years go?
