On the personal front, the good news from the first two months of 2018 is that so far I have managed to stick to my diet and have shed 5 kg. Just four months and another 10 kg to go before I pause to review.
Tiffany has managed to secure two World Cup tickets to watch England play Panama. So father and daughter will be off to Moscow in June. Mother and son Alex will make the journey later so all four can sightsee in the capital and also Saint Petersburg.
Alex has been diagnosed as suffering from dyslexia and mild HDSD. Though this is not good news of course it does give us a clue at last as to why his written school work is only a pale shadow of his oral classwork. It will mean he is allowed more time for exams, use of a computer equipped with voice to screen software etc. In other words, it is by no means the end of the world and continuing on to tertiary after high school is still open to him. He is handling the situation with great maturity and fortitude I am pleased to say.
